Ingram Micro today announced the leading cloud ecosystem platform, CloudBlue, was recognized as a “Leader” in The Forrester New Wave™: Marketplace Development Platforms, Q4 2021 report. The report notes that CloudBlue, which powers Ingram Micro’s cloud marketplace, has native support for full customer lifecycle management, and offers a solution to streamline the process of reselling cloud services throughout multiple tiers of a partner channel. CloudBlue’s strong digital service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) catalog, and full support for subscription-based Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) were also cited.

“Ingram Micro has invested hundreds of millions of dollars into our cloud ecosystem business and CloudBlue to help ensure we can continue to deliver cutting-edge cloud products and services to our channel partners,” said Nimesh Davé, President of Ingram Micro Cloud and CloudBlue. “We believe being recognized as a leader among marketplace development platforms by Forrester is a testament to CloudBlue’s powerful technology and world class capabilities.”

“CloudBlue is proud to be recognized as a leader by Forrester in their latest New Wave: Marketplace Development Platforms report,” said Tarik Faouzi, senior vice president of CloudBlue. “In our opinion, Forrester’s acknowledgement affirms our leadership position in the market, emphasizing our capabilities and what we can do for our customers. We believe the report highlights our strong market presence, strategy, and robust offerings, as well as key differentiators from our competition, including our ability to streamline the resale of cloud services for multi-tier IT solution providers.”

The report, which evaluates the 14 most significant providers in the marketplace development category, is designed to help technology decision-makers select the right digital platform partner for their marketplace development strategy. Forrester assessed all vendors on a set of 10 criteria spanning current offering, strategy, and market presence. CloudBlue was found to be differentiated in the criteria of customer management, operations management, seller management, digital service catalog, and vision. CloudBlue achieved being ranked as a ‘Leader’ among marketplace development platforms.

Forrester’s report mentions CloudBlue customers—including technology resellers and service providers—enjoy “[CloudBlue’s] large, regularly updated catalog of resellable offerings, along with its configure, price, quote capabilities, and its fast provisioning times.” The research, led by Joe Cicman, acknowledges “CloudBlue has native support for full customer lifecycle management, as well as pre-built integrations into Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce Sales Cloud CRM systems. [CloudBlue is] designed to resell cloud services through a multi-tier distribution channel.”

CloudBlue powers over 180 companies around the world, enabling them to streamline as-a-service offerings, resulting in greater recurring revenue and operational efficiencies. CloudBlue is continually pushing the boundaries of innovation, developing new features and improvements to its platform to deliver a seamless channel experience for technology vendors and service providers.

“Working with CloudBlue has been instrumental in helping us expand our solutions catalog and increase our operational efficiency, adding more value-added services to our B2B reseller network,” said Michael Frisby, Managing Director, Vuzion, a value-add cloud distribution services company and longtime CloudBlue customer. “It is no surprise that CloudBlue has been positioned as a leader among marketplace development platforms.”

CloudBlue was born in 2018 at Ingram Micro out of a series of strategic investments, including Softcom, SoftCloud IT, ODIN, ENSIM, Mamasu, and Concerto, in addition to internal innovation in the company.
