Starlink Mini brings satellite internet to Latin America through Intcomex

Must read

Starlink, the cutting-edge brand by SpaceX, is changing the satellite internet game, and Intcomex, the authorized distributor for Latin America, is proud to introduce the Starlink Mini. This small, portable device is set to bring fast and reliable internet to more places across the region than ever before.

The Starlink Mini is designed for high-speed internet with an integrated router, perfect for areas that don’t have fiber-optic coverage. Compact and easy to set up, it fits in a backpack and gives users access to the internet in minutes—no need to depend on traditional infrastructure.

Nicolás Boffi, VP of Retail and Accessories at Intcomex, called it “one of the most impactful product launches for the region,” adding, “this device allows people to work from virtually anywhere with top-notch speed and performance. We’re thrilled to bring this technology to Latin America.”

Intcomex will distribute the Starlink Mini in Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Ecuador, and Chile.

Rodrigo Taramona, EU Digital Ambassador, who recently spoke at the Intcomex Retail Workshop 2024, described the product as “a game-changer for LATAM” and said its lower price “makes internet access more affordable than ever.”

Designed for rural and remote areas, Starlink Mini provides high-quality, low-latency internet that’s perfect for video calls, 4K streaming, and online gaming. It’s built to handle extreme conditions, operating in temperatures from -30°C to 50°C, covers up to 112 m², and can connect up to 128 devices at once.

Offering speeds over 100 Mbps and a latency of just 23 ms, Starlink Mini delivers cutting-edge satellite technology at a more accessible price point. It’s ideal for remote workers, travelers, and those living in places without reliable traditional internet options.

Intcomex is making sure resellers across the region have access to this breakthrough technology, helping to shape the future of internet access in Latin America.
