The joint objective is to strengthen their reach into new channels and reduce operational complexity through a single monitoring agent.
Salvador Rico, Distribution Account Manager at Acronis for the NOLA region (Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean), shares details of the company’s current strategy, which focuses on the convergence of technological solutions and the strengthening of its relationship with MSPs.
The company’s value proposition is structured around three fundamental pillars: data protection, cybersecurity, and administrative organization for service providers. Although data backup remains a primary source and entry point to the portfolio, the company has repositioned itself to be considered today as “a comprehensive cybersecurity solution,” explains the executive.
At the same time, he highlights that the company’s focus is placed on everything related to cloud and service providers. For this segment, Acronis develops tools powered by artificial intelligence with the aim of simplifying tenant administration.
Technological integration seeks to address operational fragmentation. As Rico explains, Acronis is a cybersecurity solution in which cybersecurity, management, and primarily data backup solutions converge.
This unification allows providers to avoid the use of multiple interfaces. “We have been developing the tool so that administration is much easier for our service providers and they do not have to keep switching between different monitoring consoles.”
Alliance with Licencias OnLine and market outlook
Regarding the joint work with Licencias OnLine, the strategy aims to deepen market penetration. “For next year, what we expect between Acronis and Licencias OnLine is to be able to reach more channels and different businesses.” Along these lines, Rico notes that they currently maintain a presence in the small and medium-sized business segments as well as the enterprise sector.
The collaboration with the distributor allows the brand to maintain close relationships with customers and establish medium-term work plans, overcoming geographic barriers that often limit meetings to virtual formats.
Looking ahead to 2026, Acronis’ roadmap prioritizes the continuous development of its tool and the expansion of its portfolio, specifically in areas of automation derived from artificial intelligence.
In this regard, the executive emphasizes the importance of these capabilities being intrinsically integrated into the platform: “The topic of artificial intelligence is becoming extremely relevant, and we are exploring the possibility of having our solutions powered by this technology and natively integrated, which is our hallmark as Acronis, all within the same console, in a single native agent.”
The commercial model supports this technical structure, operating on a monthly basis in the cloud segment, while also remaining available for on-premise environments through its corporate cloud offering. “What we are looking for is to further enhance our product through automation,” he concludes.
