Acer have released a short promotional video ahead of CES next week which teases their new OLED monitor line-up. Little information is revealed about the specs and models that will be showcased, but there are some interesting things we can glean from the video.
A Super-fast 540Hz / 720Hz Model
It looks like Acer will be showcasing their previously announced Predator X27U F8, which was unveiled in September 2025 at IFA. This is a 27″ WOLED monitor with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 540Hz refresh rate. A dual-mode function also supports 720Hz at a lower 720p / HD resolution. The new teaser video references OLED monitors with these specs as shown in the screenshot above, although there is also mention of “FHD@720Hz” in that video which we believe to be a typo.
Assuming this is the already known Predator X27U F8 model, using the already known LG Display 540Hz WOLED panel we’ve seen before, then the 720Hz mode actually operates at HD resolution, aka 720p, 1280 x 720. It doesn’t operate at “FHD” which is 1080p / 1920 x 1080. Unless there is something completely different being used here, which we would be very surprised about, this looks to be an error in the video. We’ll confirm more at CES next week.
A new motion sensor for OLED Care
The video references a new feature for Acer’s OLED range as well, their new ‘AI ProxiSense’ which seems to be a motion sensor similar to those we’ve seen before from Asus and MSI on their OLED monitors recently. More details are pending on how this operates and the features it offers.
Other listed specs so far
Other specs mentioned in the video for the new monitors include a 0.03ms G2G response time, VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification and 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut. More specific details for each monitor are not provided at this time, nor are prices and availability.
