TD SYNNEX brought the IBM Roadshow to its final stop in the region on September 17, with a full-day event held at the S Hotel Kingston. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the roadshow gathered both customers and strategic partners from Jamaica, creating an ideal space to connect, learn, and explore IBM’s portfolio of solutions.

The agenda featured distinguished speakers from IBM, who shared their expertise on key platforms like Adeel Anwer, Technical Specialist in IBM POWER & Cloud, presented IBM Power11, highlighting its performance, business continuity, and advanced capabilities for artificial intelligence.

Power11 offers an Edge-to-Cloud platform with energy efficiency and AI acceleration planned for late 2025. Its architecture enhances processors, DDR4/DDR5 memory, and enables interoperability with Power10, ensuring seamless modernization and continuity.

The platform guarantees 99.9999% availability, high security, and advanced RAS to minimize errors and unplanned downtime. In AI workloads, Power11 delivers up to 300 trillion operations per second (TOPS), with 32 dedicated AI cores and 128 GB of LPDDR5 memory, optimizing critical workloads.

Finally, Anwer shared client success stories of those who have already experienced the benefits of the platform: the Government of Bermuda and CHUBB Insurance upgraded their servers to POWER10, while Sagicor Bank in Jamaica also made significant improvements, demonstrating how IBM technology drives digital transformation across various sectors.
Additionally, the event featured engaging talks by Rishi Nirghin who explored LinuxONE: Overview of the platform & Key features, Client Success Stories and James Morassuitti, who discussed IBM Storage for Data Resilience.

With this stop in Jamaica, TD SYNNEX successfully concluded its IBM Roadshow, reinforcing its role as a bridge between technology leaders and the business community across the English Caribbean.
