TD SYNNEX continues its IBM Roadshow with a successful stop in the Bahamas

After the first edition in Bermuda, TD SYNNEX brought the IBM Roadshow to the Bahamas on September 11, reinforcing its commitment to bringing innovation closer to the region.

This stop featured Maxime Pereira, Vendor Strategy Manager for the English Caribbean at TD SYNNEX, who joined the speaker lineup. Alongside him, the same IBM experts who participated in Bermuda shared their knowledge and insights.

Maxime Pereira presented an overview of the growth of artificial intelligence. The cloud AI market is expected to reach $398B by 2030, with significant increases in security, storage, and AI servers.

In Latin America and the Caribbean, 56% of companies have not yet implemented AI projects, but 89% plan to do so in the next two years, showing great adoption potential.

Pereira also highlighted that sustainability, diversity, and strategic partnerships are key to transforming organizations, providing comprehensive solutions that move beyond transactional interactions toward transformational impact.

One of the highlights was the presentation by Fadi Atallah, Senior Brand Partner Leader at IBM, who delivered the talk “LinuxONE: Overview of the platform & Key features, Client Success Stories.” During his presentation, Atallah emphasized IBM LinuxONE as the most secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise platform for confidential computing and artificial intelligence applications. He explained how this solution allows for server consolidation, cost reductions of up to 52%, and decreased energy consumption compared to x86 architectures, while ensuring 99.999999% availability.

The speaker also shared relevant success stories, such as Sagicor Bank in Jamaica, which improved productivity and reduced waiting times with LinuxONE and complementary technologies; Amret in Cambodia, which achieved millions in savings on Oracle licenses and performance improvements; and an insurance company in China, which achieved a 21:1 consolidation ratio and significant benefits in energy, space, and operational costs.

The presentation highlighted that LinuxONE not only meets current security and performance demands but also enables the digital transformation of financial institutions, insurers, and organizations across multiple industries, preparing them for a more agile, sustainable, and resilient future.

Additionally, the event featured engaging talks by Adeel Anwer, Technical Specialist, who explored IBM Power: Overview of the Platform & Key Features, and Colin Lynch, who discussed IBM Storage for Data Resilience.

From TD SYNNEX, special thanks were expressed to the company’s strategic partners in the Bahamas for making it possible to showcase IBM’s portfolio and highlight the value of its solutions to the local market.

The IBM Roadshow will conclude with its final stop in Jamaica on September 17.
