Last month, Intcomex, the leading platform for technology distribution and value-added solutions in Latin America and the Caribbean, hosted the 20th edition of its Retail Workshop (RWS) in Punta Cana, once again proving why it’s the go-to event for resellers, manufacturers, and industry leaders.

The workshop brought together 350+ attendees, 30 top brands, and generated more than 600 business meetings. “Intcomex has built a benchmark event in Latin America and the Caribbean. It’s not just about doing business—it’s about sharing vision and strategy so we can all drive growth and digital transformation across the region,” said Bruno Durán, Regional Marketing Director at Intcomex.

This year’s central content theme, ‘Make Change Work for You,’ set the tone for a wide range of sessions. Highlights included economist Daniel Lacalle, Chief Economist at Tressis and PhD in Economics, who noted: “Despite rising inflation caused by unbalanced public spending between 2021 and 2024, consumer demand has remained incredibly strong.” Nicolás Boffi, VP of Retail & Accessories at Intcomex, added: “In a world full of choices, our edge comes from guiding customers to the right ones. Differentiation through products, services, and experiences is how we create value and profitability.”
The event also had its personal moments. Danny Schachtel, COO of Intcomex, raised a toast celebrating two decades of RWS “with colleagues and friends who have been part of this journey for years, while also welcoming new leaders,” marking an emotional milestone in the history of the region’s leading retail event.

On the same note, Juan Bernárdez, founder of White Rabbit FCB and speaker at the Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce, encouraged resellers and retailers to become the “sidekick of the customer experience,” reminding the audience that rethinking the in-store shopping journey is already half the win.
“We closed RWS with a great sense of accomplishment,” summed up Bruno Durán. “It’s amazing to see how the most influential leaders keep joining us and shaping the future of retail together. The 2025 edition was no exception: three days full of networking, insights, and valuable content that pushed the conversation forward.”
Retail Workshop 2025 was more than a series of talks—it was a call to turn ideas into strategy and to embrace change as an opportunity, not a threat. After twenty editions, RWS keeps proving that in an industry defined by speed and disruption, the real game-changer is learning how to make change work in your favor.
