TD SYNNEX kicked off its IBM Roadshow in Bermuda

Must read

On September 4, TD SYNNEX successfully held the first stop of its IBM Roadshow at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club in Bermuda. The event, which ran from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., brought together end customers and strategic partners who joined in person.

One of the highlights was the presentation by Usman Hameed Ullah, Storage Solutions Architect at IBM, presented the company’s vision and solutions to address one of the greatest challenges organizations face today: data resilience against cyberattacks and critical failures. During his presentation, he emphasized that traditional recovery, designed for natural disasters or random failures, is no longer sufficient in the face of cyber threats, which are targeted, global, and far more enduring.

To address this scenario, Ullah explained that IBM proposes a comprehensive approach based on cyber resilience principles: early anomaly detection, data immutability, system isolation, and the ability to recover quickly and with precision. These defense lines help minimize impact and ensure operational continuity even during an attack.

Among the highlighted solutions, IBM FlashSystem with Safeguarded Copy stands out, as it creates immutable and isolated copies for rapid restoration, preventing data alteration or deletion caused by human error or ransomware. This is complemented by advanced detection capabilities using Shannon Entropy, which identifies encryption patterns typical of malicious attacks. In addition, IBM Storage Sentinel leverages artificial intelligence to validate recovery points, detect data corruption, and reduce false positives, while IBM Storage Data Protect enables large-scale restorations—from a single file to thousands of virtual machines—in just minutes.

With this proposal, IBM reinforces its position as a strategic partner in data protection, combining technological innovation, artificial intelligence, and global best practices to enable companies to operate with confidence in an increasingly vulnerable digital environment.

The same presentations will also be featured in the upcoming roadshow stops across the region:

  • Bahamas – September 11.
  • Jamaica – September 17.
