Introducing FluentData, a Google Cloud partner through its official distributor TD SYNNEX.
We spoke with Jesus Diaz, Managing Partner at FluentData.
What is FluentData’s vision within the cloud ecosystem?
Our vision is to become one of the leading companies in data analytics and GenAI within the Google Cloud ecosystem. We see an incredible opportunity at the intersection of cloud, data, and artificial intelligence—and that’s exactly where we want to be.
How would you describe your value proposition in relation to digital transformation?
Companies today that do not focus on generating value from their data and using it to optimize processes and market presence simply won’t last long. It’s that straightforward.
We help them avoid being among those companies that get replaced, and instead become the ones that know how to use their data to disrupt or reshape their industry. In essence, we provide the “how” so they can successfully navigate a digital transformation that is no longer optional—it’s a matter of survival and leadership.
What motivated you to specialize in Google Cloud technologies?
We were motivated by our strong belief that Google Cloud is the leading public cloud platform for data analytics and artificial intelligence. Google Cloud has been innovating in these areas for over 20 years—first for its own infrastructure and then through its public offering. It’s a company with a DNA that aligns perfectly with the sectors we’re passionate about, so working with them is a natural fit. They’re our ideal partner and platform.
Which Google Cloud services or solutions do you master most deeply?
We specialize in all of Google Cloud’s analytical products and services. We’re experts in BigQuery, the gold standard in data warehousing, and in everything related to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
This includes Google Cloud’s full analytics suite—not just BigQuery, but all the tools involved in building and deploying data solutions, such as Dataflow and Dataproc for ingestion and processing. Naturally, with the current strong focus on GenAI, we also master the entire Gemini model family and the Vertex AI machine learning platform.
We invest heavily in internal upskilling. Our engineers and consultants are constantly encouraged to learn and reinvent themselves. We have an internal “cross-pollination” program to share technologies and project learnings. And we lead by example: many of the tools we develop internally using Google Cloud capabilities are later applied to or shared with our clients.
What sets you apart from other partners?
We stand out as a primarily technology-focused partner—that’s where we want to be. We aim to be a specialized partner, not a generalist. In terms of methodology, we use agile practices for project delivery, which we believe always makes a positive difference for our clients.
Can you share a success story?
A notable success story is our work with the Government of Bermuda. We implemented our Document Management System, DocDash, which transformed how they handle information and generated significant savings.
For the Government of Bermuda, implementing DocDash resulted in savings of half a million dollars and a 99% reduction in operational time for the department.
Another example is the discount optimization project we’re carrying out for one of Latin America’s most important retailers (such as ETAFashion), generating valuable AI-based insights to improve profitability.
Which industries have seen the greatest impact from your cloud solutions?
We’ve seen significant impact across various industries. We’ve worked with retailers, banking, the public sector, airlines (transportation sector), and others—achieving substantial improvements with our cloud solutions.
What does your client onboarding and support process look like, from initial evaluation to ongoing operation?
Our onboarding process is designed to be very close and collaborative. We work hand-in-hand with our clients’ development and business teams from day one to ensure successful project implementation.
We always define an initial evaluation period during which we ensure the client has full control of the solution, knows how to operate it, and understands how to modify it if needed. We also offer ongoing support services if the client wants, whether that means we operate the solution or simply provide continuous strategic and technical guidance.
What kind of managed services do you offer on Google Cloud?
We offer various types of support and managed services. This includes the option for us to operate the implemented solution on behalf of the client if needed. We also provide continuous strategic advice on technology decisions, architecture evolution, and optimization of their Google Cloud environments.
How do you train your clients’ internal teams to successfully adopt the technology?
We train our clients’ internal teams through seminars, personalized training sessions, and thorough documentation of the solutions we deliver. Additionally, we rely heavily on Google Cloud’s official training curriculum, which is available to both clients and partners, to complement the learning process.
What tech trends do you think will shape the future of the cloud, and how are you preparing your clients for them?
We believe a key trend is the emergence of the “agentic cloud”, where many operations will be dominated, controlled, or assisted by AI agents. This will accelerate the shift toward more managed models (such as managed services or even SaaS) in the cloud.
The focus will increasingly move toward value creation and achieving business outcomes, rather than the underlying technology itself. Technology will become more transparent, allowing companies to concentrate on their business logic.
