Caribbean beaches have made a strong showing in the recently released World’s 50 Best Beaches for 2025, with nearly a dozen locations from the region earning spots on the list.
The rankings is said to be as a result of “a culmination of countless days spent by our judges, Beach Ambassadors and World’s 50 Beaches team exploring beaches all over the world.”
Canto de la Playa in the Dominican Republic ranked as the top beach in the Caribbean region and sixth overall globally. Located on Saona Island, the report called this secluded spot “one of the Caribbean’s best-kept secrets.”
The perennial favourite Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos claimed the number 10 position on the worldwide list. “It remains a textbook example of Caribbean beauty,” the report noted.
Grace Bay stretches for miles along the coast of Providenciales, featuring soft, powdery white sand and vivid turquoise waters, protected by a coral reef about a mile offshore.
Other Caribbean beaches earning recognition include Shoal Bay East in Anguilla (#14), Seven Mile Beach in Cayman Islands (#23), The Baths in the British Virgin Islands (#29), Ffryes Beach in Antigua & Barbuda (#31), Grand Anse in Grenada (#32), Bahia de Las Aguilas in the Dominican Republic (#34), Meads Bay in Anguilla (#35), and Klein Bonaire Beach in Bonaire (#44).
Antigua & Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, and Bonaire were among several destinations that broke onto the list for the first time this year.
The World’s 50 Best Beaches report also maintains a hall of fame featuring winners from past years, including Trunk Bay in St John (US Virgin Islands), which continues to be recognized as one of the world’s finest beaches.
