Anguilla | Bank warns customers of remote access phishing scam

A new phishing scam targeting bank customers has prompted the National Commercial Bank of Anguilla to issue urgent security warnings.

The bank said in a press statement that fraudsters impersonating bank employees are attempting to gain unauthorized remote access to customers’ computers, laptops, and mobile devices.

“Please be advised that the Bank will never contact you online or by telephone to request remote access to your computer, laptop devices or mobile phones or to request your card pin or other personal banking details,” they stated.

Customers who receive such suspicious requests are urged to immediately report the incidents to both the Royal Anguilla Police Force and their bank’s service department at service@ncbal.com.
