KLM expands Caribbean network with new flights to Guyana

Guyana’s airspace is set to be a bit busier come next year as KLM has announced plans to begin flying to the country.

In a statement, KLM said from June 4, 2025, it will operate two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport to Guyana’s Cheddi Jagan International Airport.

Flight KL789 departs Amsterdam at 10:00 AM, with a stop in Sint Maarten at 1:00 PM local time. After a brief layover, the flight continues at 2:20 PM, arriving at Cheddi Jagan International Airport (GEO) in Guyana at 4:35 PM local time.

The return flight departs from Georgetown at 5:55 local time and arrives at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport the next day at 9:15 pm.

The Netherlands national carrier is set to use its Airbus 330-200 to operate the service.
The aircraft has 246 seats in Economy Class and 18 seats in the World Business Class.

KLM currently operates flights to seven Caribbean destinations including Trinidad and Tobago, St Maarten, Curacao, and Suriname.
