Caribbean Airlines launches new routes to French Caribbean islands

Must read

Caribbean Airlines has announced the launch of new flight services to Martinique and Guadeloupe.

Starting December 3, 2024, Caribbean Airlines will commence service to Martinique, followed by flights to Guadeloupe on December 7. Both routes will operate four times weekly, subject to government approval.

Garvin Medera, CEO of Caribbean Airlines, highlighted the importance of these new routes: “For the first time in years, journeys that would traditionally take several hours are now reduced to just 90 minutes, giving travellers back their most valuable resource: time.”

Medera emphasized that this improvement in travel efficiency would greatly benefit both business and leisure travellers.

The addition of Martinique and Guadeloupe to Caribbean Airlines’ network comes on the heels of recently launched flights to Puerto Rico and upcoming service to Tortola, British Virgin Islands, set to begin on October 14.

Nathalie Sebastien, President of Société Aéroport Martinique Aimé Cesaire (S.A.M.A.C), welcomed the new service, stating, “The arrival of Caribbean Airlines in the skies of Martinique marks a significant milestone for our island and its connectivity within the Caribbean region.” Sebastien expressed confidence that this collaboration would foster stronger cultural and economic exchanges among Caribbean islands.

Echoing this sentiment, Bénédicte di Geronimo, President of the Martinique Tourism Authority, said, “This initiative, led by a company recognized for its excellence, will not only strengthen our tourism industry but also contribute to building stronger cultural and economic ties between the southern islands and Martinique.”

Ticket sales for the new routes to Martinique and Guadeloupe begin today.
