The Bitcoin Conference announces the Bitcoin Record Competition

Must read

The Bitcoin Conference, in partnership with Wavlake, is excited to announce the Bitcoin Record Competition, an unprecedented initiative designed to harness the musical talents of the global Bitcoin community. This competition offers an extraordinary platform for artists and musicians within the Bitcoin sphere to showcase their creativity and compete for exclusive prizes.

About the Competition

The Bitcoin Record competition aims to showcase the musical talents within the Bitcoin community, offering a unique opportunity for Bitcoiners to express themselves through their creative works. Musicians are encouraged to submit their original tracks for consideration, with the submission deadline set for March 31, 2024. All entries will be reviewed and added to the B24 Playlist, hosted on The Bitcoin Conference’s website, providing exposure to a global audience. The community will then be able to vote via “zaps,” or sending small amounts of bitcoin via the Lightning Network. The highest voted tracks will be presented to the judges for potential placement on the record.

Prizes and Judging

The competition’s grand prize will be awarded to the entry with the most Zaps. Additionally, 21 finalists will be chosen by the judges, each receiving 10 copies of the vinyl, a B24 Industry Pass, and a $500 merch gift card through Lightning Store.

A key highlight of the competition is the combination of community votes and the discerning eyes of our judges. The judges panel includes Bitcoin Media’s own – Mark Goodwin, Michael Vinson, and Sam Means, who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.

Project Mission

This competition is a part of the larger Bitcoin Record project, a collaborative effort between The Bitcoin Conference and Wavlake. The project aims to create an album of original tracks, symbolizing the perfect record keeping of Bitcoin’s immutable ledger as well as showcase the creative synergy between the Bitcoin community and the world of music. The Bitcoin Record, a physical embodiment of this initiative, will serve as a lasting memento.
