St Vincent’s PM looks at low-income homes in Guyana

Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr Ralph Gonsalves today visited the government’s low-income homes and the DuraVilla unit constructed in Great Diamond, East Bank Demerara, Guyana. 

According to the Department of Information, Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal led the delegation along with Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Nigel Dharamlall, Director of Projects at the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA), Omar Narine and Head of DuraVilla, Rafeek Khan.

The team also visited DuraVilla’s housing operations at Land of Canaan, where all modular components of the homes are manufactured, showing the process from the initial stages of acquisition of raw materials, sawmilling, manufacturing of panels, packaging and shipping. 

PM Gonsalves is in Guyana on a four day Official State visit.
