A magnitude 5.3 earthquake was recorded north-northeast of Antigua and Barbuda this afternoon.
The UWI Seismic Research Centre (UWI SRC) said it occurred around 3:48 pm local time at a depth of 10 kilometres.
According to the Automatic Earthquake Location from the UWI Seismic Research Centre, the quake struck:
- 63 km NNE of Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda
- 117 km NE of Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis
- 159 km N of Point-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe
