Recently, Minister of Finance Xiomara Maduro welcomed representatives of the Dutch Customs, Mr. Bert de Haas and Mr. Otto de Vries, accompanied by Mr. Croes and Mrs. Cabenda of Customs Aruba.
The Customs of the Netherlands will cooperate with and support the Aruba Customs to keep our borders safe. It is part of the agreement with the Netherlands as stated in point H11 of the Landspakket.
The reason for the visit of the Dutch Customs delegation is to get to know the Aruba Customs organization and assess the need for support and cooperation from the Dutch Customs. As part of the cooperation, the Aruba customs will travel to the Netherlands to learn about the processes they may use in Aruba.
With this cooperation, they will focus, among others, on the risk management for the Customs inspections.
