Aruba – Busy weekend for tourism

Must read

Over the past weekend, Aruba welcomed almost 10000 visitors at the airport. On Saturday, March 12, 2022, 6069 tourists arrived, of which 5337 were from the United States.

On Sunday, March 13, almost 4000 travelers arrived at the airport, mostly (3384) from the United States. The United States remains the most important market for tourism in Aruba, and hence it is essential to monitor these routes closely.

According to the Minister of Tourism, the exit strategy provides the expected results.

The government decided to go back to normal and lift all restrictions imposed to stop Covid19 in Aruba. It is now the time to focus on the recovery of tourism and its positive impact on the economy.

The Minister is confident that the year 2022 will be the year in which the recovery level of tourism will be similar to the record-breaking tourism level in 2019. This success is primarily thanks to the joint efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Public Health, ATA, AAA, APA, AHATA, and the community of Aruba.
