On May 4, 2022, the “Initiative for Development Aruban Businesses (IDEA) will start with the “Prepared Entrepreneur II (Empresario Prepara II)” course for entrepreneurs or future entrepreneurs.
This course is organized by the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry.
The objective of this course is:
- To help entrepreneurs establish an innovation culture in their business.
- to teach entrepreneurs about business tax compliance.
- to teach them how to design their website and continue to improve the level of information and strategy for a successful business.
- to teach them how to manage a business more efficiently and properly.
The course consists of the following subjects:
- Create a Culture of Innovation;
- Small Business Tax;
- Developing Brand Awareness for Customer Satisfaction;
- Leadership and Management.
The “Empresario Prepara II” course starts on May 4, 2022, and consists of 19 sessions given twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) from 7:00 pm to 9:15 pm. The sessions are scheduled and will take place on
Microsoft Teams. The last session is on July 6, 2022.
Requirements for the course “Empresario Prepara II”:
- Preferable MAVO level or equivalent. Diploma not required.
- Computer knowledge, including working with Microsoft Teams
- Basic knowledge of Papiamento, Dutch, and English is required
