CES 2022 is returning to Las Vegas for a live, in-person event. Over 2100 exhibitors, leading U.S. and global media, top retailers and industry leaders will join us in Las Vegas January 5-8.
Your health and safety is important to us. We are actively tracking the emerging news and science around the new Omicron variant. We will continue to monitor and adjust our plans and health protocols as necessary. CES also continues to monitor guidelines for health safety measures from the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Nevada and Clark County. CES will follow applicable federal, state and local laws, adapting CES plans accordingly and sharing updates with you and other CES audiences. We are also working closely with the Las Vegas community, including the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, exhibit venues and hotels, and if they adjust their plans, we will communicate that as well.
The details below are just some of the precautions we will implement for CES. We will continue to evaluate and expand our health safety protocols as medical recommendations evolve, and will update this page in accordance so you know what to expect when you arrive in Las Vegas for CES. - Ensure you have your proof of vaccination documentation.
- Download the CLEAR app and upload your proof of vaccination (U.S.based attendees only)
- Get your COVID-19 booster shot.
- Get your flu shot.
- Test for COVID-19.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT CES
REQUIRED: Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
- CES attendees must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination in order to pick up a CES 2022 badge.
- Attendees must be fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or World Health Organization (WHO). A list of approved vaccines can be found here.
- To simplify and speed up badge pickup, CES will use, CLEAR to collect proof of vaccination for U.S. based attendees. CLEAR’s free mobile app and Health Pass feature provides a simple and secure way for this information to be shared. Instructions can be found here.
- Non-U.S. based attendees must present their proof of vaccination at a designated location. Instructions can be found here.
- Once you have provided your proof of vaccination and picked up your badge, you will not need to verify your vaccination status again.

Health Screenings and Services
- Masks are required indoors in the State of Nevada. CES attendees will be required to wear masks as follows:
- In exhibit booths and indoor exhibit facilities.
- In conference and keynote rooms.
- CES shuttle buses and any CES transportation services.
- Masks are optional when outside. CES will have safety ambassadors throughout the exhibit floor providing masks to those who may need one.
- CES will provide on-site access to health services and medical aid for those who may need it.
- CES attendees are encouraged to download the COVID Trace app developed by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services. The mobile application uses a technology called the Exposure Notifications System from Google and Apple. Learn more here.
On-Site COVID-19 Testing
- CES strongly encourages all attendees take a COVID test prior to departing to Las Vegas and following all guidelines set forth by the CDC for travel.
- CES will distribute one complimentary Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 Self Test kit, provided by Abbott, to each attendee upon retrieving their badge.
- CES will provide testing for those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms while at a CES venue.
- CES will provide free RT-PCR tests for attendees who are traveling back to their international destination and who require a test to travel.

Healthy Venues
- CES official exhibit venues have improved their ventilation systems and increased outside air flow.
- The Las Vegas Convention Center, Mandalay Bay and The Venetian Expo (formerly Sands Expo) have been awarded the Global Biorisk Advisory Council GBAC STAR
Conference Area and Meeting Spacing
- Chairs will be set to allow social distancing. We will follow appropriate guidelines.
- Meeting rooms and executive suite participants will be asked to follow show rules and local guidance with respect to social distancing.
Wider Aisles and Traffic Flows
- The width of many aisles on the show floor have been increased to help with social distancing.
- The public areas and entry points at CES venues will respect social distancing and use one way traffic flow.
Food and Beverage Precautions
- Catering and concession outlets in CES venues will follow health and safety precautions including adequate spacing to promote social distancing and provide pre-packaged food options.
Healthy Habits
- Hand sanitization stations will be placed throughout CES venues to encourage frequent hand sanitization.
- We will issue best practices for attendees that include avoiding shaking hands and how exhibitors can best manage product demonstrations.
