The Jamaica Customer Service Association (JaCSA) has partnered with the Public Sector Transformation and Modernisation Division (PSTMD), Office of the Cabinet, to celebrate the Week, under the theme ‘You… Me…We Got the Power of Service Excellence’.

Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, will deliver the opening address at the conference, under the theme ‘Leveraging the Power of Service Excellence’, while the keynote address will be delivered by UN Resident Coordinator, Northern Caribbean and former Prime Minister of Haiti, Dr. Garry Connile.

There will also be a special address by the High Commissioner of Nigeria to Jamaica, Her Excellency, Ambassador Dr. Maureen P. Tamuno, who will speak on the Nigerian experience.

On day two of the conference, Executive Director, Institute of Service Excellence, Singapore,  Neeta Lachmandas, will speak on the topic ‘Creating & Sustaining a National Customer Service Index: Lessons from Singapore’.

Speaking at a Jamaica Information Service (JIS) ‘Think Tank’ held on Wednesday (September 29) at the agency’s Head Office in Kingston, Acting Senior Director, Office of the Cabinet, PSTMD, Danielle Jones Cox, said that registration is ongoing.

“Persons have started to register. We have a particular target of at least a thousand registrants. Certainly, we are hoping for more and we are inching closer to that target. So, I encourage the public sector, I encourage the public to register for the conference,” she said.

Ms. Jones Cox said that participants will not only learn about the transformation taking place in the public sector but also “the best of practice, tools and techniques shared by international speakers”.

“The conference is not only for customer service professionals, and there is so much to learn from the different speakers,” she added.

The Week begins with a church service at Webster Memorial Church in Kingston on Sunday, October 3, followed by the panel discussion on Monday, October 4.
