AI robotics venture Robocore seals distribution agreement with Ingram Micro as the pilot case
Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) is joining global technology distributor and solution provider Ingram Micro to provide go-to- market and distribution support to tech ventures. Selected companies will be able to reach new customers, qualify for new opportunities and gain footprint in Greater Bay Area and overseas markets.
HKSTP and Ingram Micro will identify high potential Science Park companies, and shortlisted companies will scale up their business through awarding distribution agreements with the world-leading technology provider. Under the collaboration, Robocore, an AI robotics startup, is the first Science Park company to be able to expand its distribution network in Hong Kong and overseas, while also benefitting from opportunities to collaborate with Ingram Micro’s channel partners and system integrators.
Albert Wong, CEO at HKSTP said: “This strategic collaboration between HKSTP and Ingram Micro helps tackle one of the biggest challenges facing startups today—distribution and go- to-market capabilities. This further enhances our innovation ecosystem by connecting Park Companies with a global IT distribution and solution provider that opens regional and global opportunities to our high potential startups.”
Biga Luk, Managing Director of Ingram Micro Hong Kong & Macau added: “The launch of the HKSTP-Ingram Micro partnership is proof of our ongoing support of the Hong Kong innovation ecosystem and injects cutting-edge technology to our portfolio, delivering a full spectrum of the latest and best capabilities for our customers.”
Startups that are successfully matched in this collaboration are supported via three vital components – Explore, Fulfillment and Distribution. The startups will explore opportunities with hand-picked Ingram Micro’s channel partners with well-suited co-selling and solution- building capabilities.
Fulfillment is enabled as selected startups will be connected with channel partners, system integrators and tech partners for potential collaboration. They will have chance to collaborate with system integrators and other tech providers to co-create solutions to meet a wider variety of customer needs.
In relation to Distribution, startups will be able to significantly expand their market reach and potential, access Ingram Micro’s global channel partner networks, as well as receive co-selling, marketing and business development support.
