Cyber security and Digital transformation dominate the talk at Ingram Micro’s English Caribbean Summit

On the first day of Ingram Micro’s English Caribbean virtual Summit today, the partner eco-system was provided a lot of information. Partners from the southern Caribbean countries of Suriname, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobago were brought together with partners from the Greater and Lesser Antilles countries to benefit from interesting presentations.

David Baquerizo, Director, Vendor Management – Ingram Micro, kicked off today’s Cybersecurity and Cloud presentations with a relatable example of the Jamaica National Bank being a victim of Ransomeware, emphasizing that we are all vulnerable and require some level of cyber security.

Proofpoint’s Regional Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, Juan Carlos Cabrera, and FireEye’s Cybersecurity Architect Strategist, Stephen Fallas, continue to emphasize the necessity of email security and protection.

Microsoft’s Darren Mohammed emphasized the need for enterprises to rethink business to focus on growth following the pandemic, as well as the acceleration of digital transformation as a result of the pandemic.

Partners exited today’s lively presentations with a better understanding of how to help their customers achieve effective digital transformation in a secure cyber environment while still managing data backup and restoration.
