Surinam issues solar equipment call

The Republic of Suriname has received financing from the European Union which are supervised by the InterAmerican Development Bank, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments under the project Support to Improve Sustainability of the Electricity Service, for Procurement of Turnkey Delivery of Solar Plants.

The EBS now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the delivery of electrical materials. The delivery period for the items is 15 months.

Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures as specified in the InterAmerican Development Bank’s Policies for Procurement of Works and Goods financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN 2349-15 (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the policies and for bidders recognized as eligible by the European Union (EU) according to the EU applicable regulations.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the EBS and request an electronic copy of the bidding documents from the Program Executing Unit (PEU), on the submission of a written application to idb.projects@ebs.sr. The documents will thereafter be sent electronically. Clarifications to bidding documents may be requested up to ultimately 21 days prior to the deadline for submission of bids.

All bids must be submitted electronically by 12:00 PM (GMT 15:00) Friday 23rd of April 2021. They will be opened after 12:05 PM (GMT 15:05), in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend the virtual bid opening session. Late bids will be rejected. A bid security of USD 40,000.00 (Forty Thousand United States Dollars), must be submitted with the Bid.
